From September 5 to 9, 2025, the Kreisjugendmusikkapelle Biberach, a youth wind orchestra from the district of Biberach in southern Germany, embarked on a cultural exchange tour in Tuscany, supported by the Consulate General of Germany in Milan.

The program began with a welcome on September 5 and featured concerts in Forte dei Marmi, Poggio a Caiano, Prato, and Bacchereto over the following days. The young musicians from Biberach performed a wide-ranging repertoire that combined German and European traditions, offering audiences in Tuscany a vibrant celebration of music and youth culture.

The tour not only showcased the artistic talents of the ensemble but also embodied the principles of cultural diplomacy. Through shared rehearsals, community encounters, and cross-cultural dialogue, the project strengthened ties between German and Italian communities. For the young musicians, it was an opportunity to act as ambassadors of cultural exchange, while audiences enjoyed a festival of sound and friendship.

By supporting the tour, the German Consulate General underlined the importance of youth participation in diplomacy. The concerts served as a reminder that intercultural understanding often begins with music, an art form that transcends borders and unites generations.
