Siméon Oyono Esono Angue holds many titles in the Equatoguinean government. He was appointed minister of foreign affairs and cooperation in 2018. He is currently working in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as Equatorial Guinea’s representative to the African Union. While in Ethiopia he is also serving as the Equatoguinean Ambassador to Ethiopia. Before being named minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, he was given the job to head the Economic Commission of the United Nations for Africa and has since held this position. Since his arrival at the African Union in Ethiopia he has also been given the role of President of the Sub-Committee of the African Union for Refugees and Displaced Persons.
