The meeting presents an opportunity for anyone interested in economic projects in and with Vietnam to inform and get in touch with each other. The event is directed towards small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Germany and Vietnam, research institutions and supporting consultants.

Participants are given the opportunity to ask questions about the application process for projects in Germany and Vietnam as well as to engage in conversation with representatives of the promotion agencies and other innovation actors. Additionally, there will be a short introduction to the networks of IHK/AHK, EEN and the local business development agencies.

The event is also accompanying the fifth German-Vietnamese call for proposals for shared research and development projects between Germany and Vietnam and therefore will include an introduction to the funding instruments involved of both countries.
Additionally, there will be speeches held by Dr. Nguyen Minh Vu, H.E. Ambassador of the Vietnam Embassy and Claudia Flügel of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi).

Creating new economic opportunities is a solidified way to strengthening diplomatic ties between the countries. Throughout the development of new projects, the relationship between Germany and Vietnam can grow closer. This event marks an important step especially after Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh visited Germany in early 2019 seeking to normalize ties between the two countries after previous tensions.

The info meeting will be held on June 12th, 2019 from 10am to 2pm at the Vietnam embassy in Elsenstraße 3, Berlin. Registration is required until June 6th and further information can be found on the website below.
