Ugandan representatives highlight agriculture, cooperation, and investment opportunities at Berlin Economic Forum
March 13th, 2026The Uganda Session at the Berlin Economic Forum 2026 was held in Potsdam from 3–5 March 2026, bringing together participants to discuss Uganda’s perspectives on economic cooperation, agricultural development, and international partnership. The forum provided a platform for dialogue on opportunities for collaboration and sustainable development.
The session opened with introductory remarks by H.E. Ambassador Stephen Mubiru, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Federal Republic of Germany. In his address, he welcomed participants and emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between Uganda, Germany, and international partners in advancing shared economic and development goals.
The keynote address was delivered by Hon. Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, State Minister for Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries of Uganda. In his presentation, he outlined Uganda’s priorities in agricultural development, food security, and investment opportunities within the country’s expanding agricultural sector.
The discussion that followed provided an opportunity for participants to exchange perspectives on sustainable development, agricultural innovation, and the expansion of international cooperation with Uganda. The session also featured a cultural performance presenting traditional Ugandan dances, highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, as well as a tasting of Ugandan coffee.
Overall, the session contributed to strengthening dialogue on economic cooperation and agricultural development while promoting opportunities for partnership between Uganda and international stakeholders.
