March 18th, 2026On 10 March 2026, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Berlin between the Chargé of Economic Cooperation at the Embassy and Mr. Robin Walter, responsible for foreign markets at the German Agribusiness Alliance. The discussion focused on ways to enhance the access of Tunisian food exports to the German market.
The exchange addressed opportunities to strengthen the presence of Tunisian food products in Germany, particularly olive oil, dates and their derivatives, natural herbs, and other related products. Both sides discussed measures that could facilitate the promotion and market access of these Tunisian exports.
During the meeting, it was also agreed to schedule joint economic activities during the current year. These initiatives will include the organisation of business delegation visits and support for Tunisian participation in economic events taking place in Germany.
The German Agribusiness Alliance works to establish connections between industrial and commercial enterprises and economic stakeholders in the agri-food sector from several partner countries, including Tunisia.
The meeting reflected a shared interest in strengthening economic cooperation and promoting Tunisian agri-food exports within the German market. Such engagement supports international partnership-building and contributes to the broader objectives of cultural diplomacy.
