On September 27, 2025, the Embassy of Thailand in Germany organized the event “Art Touches the Heart” at the Embassy’s Villa in Berlin, highlighting the role of art in promoting physical and mental well-being. The event was led by Jiraporn Chudaphuwadol, also known as Teacher Maew, a specialist in occupational therapy with over 16 years of experience, who conducted workshops combining music, painting, drawing, and movement to introduce participants to the benefits of art therapy.

Ambassador Jittipat Thongprasert emphasized the importance of strengthening the Thai community in Germany, presenting the event as a tool for wellness that can be adapted to individual needs. Participants were encouraged to share the knowledge and practices within their networks, fostering engagement and cultural connection. The Ambassador also promoted the Thai Consular mobile application, which provides updates and facilitates communication in case of emergencies.

“Art Touches the Heart” offered a hands-on experience of Thailand’s cultural approach to well-being, demonstrating how creative expression can support health, build community, and connect diasporic populations. Through this initiative, the Embassy illustrated that cultural diplomacy extends beyond traditional exhibitions or performances, using art as a bridge to strengthen ties between Thailand and its citizens abroad while promoting holistic well-being.
