On November 5 and 6, 2025, the Embassy of Finland in Germany will host “Camouflage”, a dance performance by choreographer Sonya Lindfors, at Uferstudios in Berlin. The event combines contemporary performance with a post-show dialogue that addresses the themes of artistic freedom, identity, and the right to opacity for BIPOC artists.

Lindfors, known for her boundary-pushing works at the intersection of choreography and activism, brings “Camouflage” to Berlin as part of a wider effort to foster inclusive cultural dialogue. The performance is co-organized with the Nordic Embassies and supported by the Finnish Embassy as a contribution to Berlin’s dynamic cultural diplomacy landscape.

"Through Camouflage, we want to create a space where art becomes a tool for questioning visibility, power structures, and representation," noted the Embassy of Finland in its announcement.

Following the performance, an after-talk will invite the audience to reflect on the role of cultural institutions and embassies in supporting marginalized voices. By bridging contemporary art and diplomacy, the program highlights Finland’s commitment to advancing diversity, equality, and freedom of expression in Europe and beyond.
