Embassy Day promotes Vietnam-German Cooperation in Innovation and Startups

The Embassy Day event is part of the Asia-Pacific Week focusing on innovation, startup ecosystem, major trends of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and cooperation between Germany and Asia

On May 15, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany held a workshop in order to promote innovation and the startup ecosystem in Vietnam and to enhance the cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in these fields.

The Embassy Day is a biennial event, part of the Asia-Pacific Week Berlin held by the Asia-Pacific Forum in Berlin and the Senate Department for Economics, Technology, and Research. 

The event drew the participation of approximately 100 people, including representatives of large corporations like Siemens AG and FPT’s German branch but also German startups.

The Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that innovation is an important pillar for Vietnam’s economic development. According to H.E. Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu, the synergetic efforts made by the Government and private firms, along with advantages in human resources, have made Vietnam a center for technology startups in Asia. Moreover, Vietnam and Germany reveal an immense potential for cooperation in the field, as German enterprises have various opportunities to expand their business network and R&D activities in the Southeast Asian country besides helping Vietnam develop innovation and startups.
