BERLIN GLOBAL invites visitors to traverse Berlin’s story as a global meeting point, where cultural diplomacy is crafted through immersive, interactive storytelling rather than formal speeches.

Housed on the first floor of the Humboldt Forum, this 4,000 m² exhibition explores Berlin’s two-way relationship with the world—how the city has shaped and been shaped by global events. Seven themed rooms—Revolution, Free Space, Boundaries, Entertainment, War, Fashion, Interconnection—form a narrative mosaic of Berlin’s influence and influences

BERLIN GLOBAL is more than an exhibition; it is a living expression of cultural diplomacy. Through multimedia installations and interactive zones—like the “Thinking the World” mural, walk-in entertainment spheres, and the iconic Tresor club door—it invites visitors to personally experience Berlin’s global footprint. In doing so, it fosters understanding, connection, and reflection across cultures without needing words.

The exhibition is designed to be inclusive and participatory. Visitors can, for example, turn the “Wheel of History,” dance inside a giant disco ball, or observe past leisure scenes through telescopes—each interactive element opens a door to dialogue between Berlin’s heritage and global narratives. Multilingual media guides (available in up to twelve languages) and inclusive formats ensure the experience resonates with international and local audiences alike.

BERLIN GLOBAL stands as a testament to cultural diplomacy in practice: an exhibition that connects people, stories, and histories through immersive engagement. It transforms Berlin into both a mirror and a window—reflecting global influences while projecting its own—one interactive encounter at a time.
