In September, Bellevue Palace, the official residence of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin, will come alive with the annual Citizens' Festival. This vibrant event offers a unique opportunity for the public to celebrate and engage with various initiatives, organizations, and companies that highlight the importance of voluntary work across the nation. The festival is a showcase of the invaluable contributions of volunteers and aims to inspire more people to get involved in their communities.

The festival will feature a wide array of activities designed to entertain and educate attendees of all ages. A dedicated children's and youth program promises to keep younger visitors engaged, while live music, theater performances, and roundtable discussions will provide entertainment and insight for all. Sports activities and guided tours of the historic Bellevue Palace will also be available, offering something for everyone.

On Saturday, guests can look forward to a diverse music and entertainment lineup, including a special stage discussion with Federal President Steinmeier. The event serves as an opportunity for the President to connect with the public and share his perspectives on important social issues. On Friday, President Steinmeier will personally invite and recognize particularly dedicated citizens from across Germany, who have shown extraordinary commitment to addressing social challenges and helping others.

Participation in the Citizens' Festival is free, but attendees must secure a ticket in advance. For security reasons, all visitors will undergo personal and bag checks at the entrance, which may result in some waiting time. Attendees are advised to travel light, as large luggage items are not permitted. Special accommodations will be made for people with disabilities to ensure they have easier access to the event. While guide dogs for the blind are allowed, other pets are not permitted on the premises. Additionally, there is no parking available at the venue, so visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to reach the festival.
