Held on 28 March 2026, the celebration marked the International Navruz Holiday, a traditional spring festival recognized by UNESCO and widely observed across Central Asia and neighboring regions. According to the Tajik Foreign Ministry, the event was organized in cooperation with the cultural association “Cultur Cooperation International” and welcomed diplomats, members of the diaspora community and Berlin residents. 

The program featured national music performances, folk dances and presentations of traditional cuisine from the participating countries. Embassy representatives emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation through cultural initiatives hosted abroad. Such events have increasingly become part of public diplomacy efforts by Central Asian embassies in Germany, aiming to strengthen cultural visibility and people-to-people exchange.

Berlin regularly hosts international cultural activities organized by diplomatic missions, reflecting the city’s role as a center for international dialogue and multicultural exchange. In recent months, embassies in the German capital have expanded their public programming through exhibitions, concerts and heritage celebrations in cooperation with local institutions and cultural organizations. 

The Navruz celebration also reflected broader diplomatic cooperation among Central Asian states, which have in recent years increased joint cultural initiatives in Europe. Through shared public events, embassies seek to promote regional traditions while reinforcing bilateral ties with Germany and European audiences.
