Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Berlin presents The Magical World of Azerbaijani Carpet Art
Interactive presentation and workshop engage Berlin school parents with Azerbaijan’s rich carpet heritage

Berlin, 30 July 2025 — The Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Berlin recently hosted an inspiring and educational event dedicated to the ancient art of Azerbaijani carpet weaving. The presentation, organized for the parent council of a Berlin state school, offered a unique opportunity for participants to engage with one of Azerbaijan’s most treasured cultural traditions. This event was held with the valuable support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, reflecting ongoing efforts to promote Azerbaijani culture and strengthen bilateral relations through cultural diplomacy.
During the event, attendees were provided with comprehensive information about the historical development of Azerbaijani carpet art, including detailed explanations of the various regional styles that distinguish carpets from different parts of Azerbaijan. The presentation highlighted the deep cultural and symbolic significance of carpets, which have been an essential part of Azerbaijani life for centuries, embodying the country’s artistic heritage and identity.
