Algerian Culture is Highlighted on the occasion of the 29th Märchentage Festival in Berlin

This November 9th, 2018, the embassy of Algeria welcomes 50 students in the framework of the 29th Märchentage festival in Berlin. This festival was created in the 90’s for preserving fairy tales as part of our world cultural heritage, in honor of the Danish writer Hans Christian Anderson.

The 29th Märchentage festival, tackles as its main theme: power, ranging from from the power of love to the power of borders taking place from December 8th to 25th 018.

This 9th November 2018, H. E. Amb. Nor-Eddine Aouam, the Ambassador of Algeria read an Algerian fairy tale to German students after featuring a short video about Algeria and it’s diversities and cultural riches.

The Artist Mohamed Djender, who was the candidate of the Voice of Germany 2012, conducted the translation into German and produced an interactive show for the students.

The festival “Märchentage” value the worldwide culture of fairy tales and helps countries to extend their own fairy tale traditions.
