News from Berlin. On April 18th the international AFRIKA!AFRIKA! show is coming to Berlin. It will take place in Tempodrom (Kreuzberg) and will be played until April 25th.

AFRIKA!AFRIKA! is a show directed by the famous Austrian artist André Heller who has already directed an important number of shows and theater plays.  The show was represented for the first time in Baden-Baden (Germany) on October 1st and will be represented for seven months across Germany and Austria.

AFRIKA!AFRIKA! was a big hit, more than 4 million people henjoyed the unique experience of the combination between traditional circus and contemporary attractions to represent African culture. A lot of talented African artists take part of the show, such as Franky Moulet who directed the 2006 show version, which was a huge international success. According to Moulet the second edition will be quite different because “the majority of artists are new and the production has become more modern and multi-medial. Our goal was to accompany the new production with contemporary African music, which combines modern influences with traditional African elements”.

Last but not least the show benefits from two prestigious patrons: the former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan and the former Senegalese minister of culture and tourism Youssou N’Dour.
