A Spanish Night for All Senses
Promoting Spanish musical culture in the Open-Air Festival Mark Brandenburg
July 01st, 2019The Spanish Night "La rosa enflorese" aims to promote musical heritage, such as the "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Joaquín Rodrigo, "La oracion del torero" by Joaquín Turina and"El amor brujo" by Manuel de Falla. The festival also includes, the evening offered culinary delights before and after the concert.
"La rosa enflorese" is a series of romances and popular songs from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance performed mostly by female musicians to enhance the finesse of this music pieces. Therefore, the open air as the concert was created, planned and performed from female perspective. Various disciplines were present: music in a huge variety of forms, from instrumental to vocal music to body percussion, dance, as well as recitation, and gastronomy.
The cast ensemble with guitarist Ana Ferrer alongside Celia Jimenez, who both formed Duo Silento in order to perform Sephardic Jews traditional music pieces, the Residenz Ensemble Mark Brandenburg , and the dancer Tatiana Sosa Quintana.
