Neukölln Rooftop Christmas Market

This Christmas market sits high up over Berlin, on the top floor of the Neukölln Arkaden shopping mall. Usually a rooftop bar, the venue will be home to yet another base in Berlin for festive cheer.
Berliners are spoiled for choice with Christmas markets in the German capital and this outdoor rooftop market will surely see a large number of Berliners, and more likely, Neukölln dwellers. The outdoor environment might discourage some, however comfort is assured with heating and weatherproof roofing. The view from this location will surely provide a magical setting to enjoy the festive season with family and/or friends.
On the four Fridays leading up to Christmas, a food market with savory and sweet food and vegan products will take place from 16:00 hours. Every Saturday and Sunday the Christmas market will be open from 12:00 hours, and a flea market will take place on certain weekends. Admission is free at the venue on Karl-Marx-Strasse 66 in Neukölln, Berlin.
To quench thirst and quiet the stomach grumbling the Food market will offer - in addition to the usual festive hot drink gluhwein - raclettes, homemade burgers, wheat grass juice, sweet and savory waffles, Pierogi (polish dumplings), Polish stews, local products, goulash with house baked rye bread and red cabbage, vegan hot dogs with sauerkraut, cookies, sauces, chocolate, festive Christmas cookies and much more!
On sale at the Weihnachtsmarkt, the tents and numerous stalls are filled with vendors selling homemade goods, Native Indian textiles, clothing, accessories, bamboo bikes, handicrafts, bags, jewelry, stationary, tobacco pouches, prints, puppets etc.
Entertainment will not be missed as this Christmas market competes with the more traditional markets, Gendermenmarkt and Charlottenburg as well as the more alternative, eccentric Vegan, voodoo and Japanese Weihnachtsmarkts. The market will be welcoming artists and musicians playing everything from soul, funk and electro to deep disco sounds. Wednesday December 17th will see a special musical event, from 18:00 hours, the popular Estonian DJ Mr OY LAIK will take the vinyl decks, playing afro-beats music. On Friday and Saturday from 20:00hours till late, visitors to the market can indulge in fine drinks at the new cocktail bar.
