On June 18, a significant day commemorating 25 years of Bavarian-Romanian friendship, the celebrations kicked off with a reception in the courtyard garden. This was followed by a joint cabinet meeting with the Romanian government, led by Prime Minister Ion-Marcel Ciolacu.

During the events, Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder highlighted the importance of Romania's role in Europe and expressed gratitude for the close cooperation between the two regions. Söder emphasized Bavaria's commitment to supporting Romania's inclusion in the Schengen area as a reliable and sustainable partner.

The bond between Bavaria and Romania is further strengthened by the presence of many Saxon and Banat Swabian citizens in Bavaria. With a total of 200,000 Romanians living in Bavaria—the largest nationality represented in the region—their contributions and cultural influence enrich the Bavarian community.

The day concluded with heartfelt thanks for the enduring friendship and the successful visit, celebrating the shared history and the promising future of Bavarian-Romanian relations.
