18th International Beer Festival in Berlin from 1st to 3rd August

News from Berlin - From the 1st to the 3rd August, the 18th International Berlin Beer Festival is taking place at the traditional area along Karl-Marx-Allee, between Strausberger Platz and Frankfurter Tor. About 800,000 visitors from all over the world will meet in Berlin at “the world’s longest beer garden.” On 2.2 kilometres visitors will find 340 breweries from 87 countries presenting 2,400 different varieties of beer. 22 beer regions offer not only local beer brands but also culinary specialities and on 20 stages national and international bands will delight the festival with live music. Visitors can enjoy all of this with free admission.
The motto of 2014 is “craft-brewed beer specials.” More than 300 new craft beers from the USA, Italy, France, Argentina, Norway and Nepal will be introduced.
This year’s edition of the International Berlin Beer Festival promises to be an especially happy event, as it will showcase the art of craft brewing. The festival runs from noon to midnight Friday, from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
