All children, adolescents and young adults between the ages of 10 and 25 are encouraged to musically express their individual thoughts and feelings on global issues.

The Song Contest “Dein Song für EINE WELT!” (‘Your Song for ONE WORLD!’) is organized by Engagement Global gGmbH – Service for Development Initiatives on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The Song Contest was launched in 2015 to accompany the School Competition on Development Policy, and has since then been held every two years. Following the fantastic response to the second edition with about 500 songs entered by 2,700 talented young people, they are now looking forward to hear your song.

The Song Contest is about the ONE WORLD where you will meet people from all over the world. You will stand LIVE on stage with well-known patrons and by performing your own song, you will support the ideas that move us all. There are cash and non-cash prizes totaling 70,000 euros and all participants will receive a personal certificate from the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. The 23 best songs will be produced at a professional recording studio and appear on the EINE WELT album. Coaching sessions and workshops will help you improve your own music and give you more insight in the topics that inspire you.

Songs can be up to 3:50 minutes in length and must reference ONE WORLD themes in terms of content. Soloists, bands, choirs and anyone who enjoys music can take part. The deadline for the registration is June 25, 2019 and you can register for the contest and submit your song on the link below:
