News from Berlin - Sunday, July 13th will see the final match of the World Cup and Berlin offers many options and various places with different atmospheres for all kind of expectations.

The famous Brandenburg Gate is the perfect location to experience the final match in a crowded open air space and right in the heart of the city where screens are raised for thousands of fans. The entrance is free and the capacity of the site is around 100.000 people but in order to avoid the crowd at the security checkpoint it is highly recommended to arrive early.

The wackiest football screening is in Emmauskirche Church. The sound is switched off and instead of the classical commentary of the game, silent film organist Stephan von Bothmer plays  the organ of the church.(The admission is free and drinks are available).

Another unusual place has been offered at the Union Berlin Stadium where people are invited to bring their sofas. A giant living room with more than 850 sofas is available for those who want to enjoy the World Cup and relax.

For more “conventional” places where fans can feel like they are at the World cup in Brazil the Beach bars BeachBerlin or Arena give a real summer feeling with palms, sand and the additional attraction of a floating swimming pool.
