The South African Consulate in Munich joined the Nelson Mandela International School (BOS) in their Mandela Day activities last 18th July 2019.

Annually, the Nelson Mandela International School (BOS) gives 67 minutes of their time by collecting garbage in some areas around the city of Munich that have a lot of litter. Before the 67 minutes began, Mr. Lebelo, the Charge’d Affairs a.i of the Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa, gave a speech on the importance of Mandela Day and the even greater importance of making a difference in one’s community.

The speech of Mr. Lebelo aimed to inspire students and to remind them that Mandela Day is not just a celebration of the life of Nelson Mandela but also a challenge to do something good for the community.
