The Ambassador

Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama

Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama was accredited for his post as ambassador to Germany on 14th April 2016. 

Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama received a Diploma as a Technical Assistant in Health Care in Russia in 1983 and during the period from 1985 to 1988, he trained in the Field of “Development Aid for Africa (Eritrea-Sudan) & German Cooperation”.

From 1995 - 2000 Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama worked as the development worker for various development projects with German cooperation. Between 2003 and 2011 Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama was the official representative in the Institution of Education in North Rhine-Westphalia. He was later assigned the post of Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in the Federal Republic of Germany for the period 2011 - 2012. The period from 2012 to 2015 Amb. Pantaleón Mayiboro Miko Nchama functioned as Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in Paris, France.

Equatorial Guinea became independent in 1968. Bilateral relations between Equatorial Guinea and Germany started to grow in 1979, with the end of the Macias’ dictatorship and the accession to power of President Obiang.

In 2005 Equatorial Guinea opened an embassy in Berlin and Germany opened an embassy in Malabo in September 2010. Germany is an important partner for Equatorial Guinea as they promote the country’s economic development.
