The Alba-TCP Film Festival
The Alba-TCP Film Festival will take place in Berlin from 19th October to 10th November 2016 in collaboration with the Embassy of Bolivia

The Alba-TCP Film Festival is taking place in Berlin from October, 19th to November, 20th 2016. There will be projected films related to Latin-American countries, in order to promote them and their culture in Berlin and Germany.
‘The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) is an integration platform for the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. It puts emphasis on solidarity, complementarity, justice and cooperation, and it has the historical and fundamental purpose to join the capacities and strengths of the countries comprising it, with the goal of producing the structural transformations and the relations system necessary to achieve its integral development. The countries that currently comprise the ALBA-TCP are: Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Commonwealth of Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Ecuador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Santa Lucia.
The first ALBA-TCP Film Festival was held in Belgium on January 2012. The event was organized by the embassies of Bolivia, Ecuador, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela. The event aims to show the world the cultural diversity that characterizes the Bolivarian Alliance countries, through the most varied themes, as well as to publicize the outstanding quality of its film production.
You can find the films, which will be played, here as follows: El Benny, from Cuba, which tells the story of Benny Moré, a Cuban singer, bandleader and songwriter. El Manzano Azul, from Venezuela, where we see a child of 11 years old who has to spend his holiday with his grandfather a lonely cottage without any kind of comfort. Los Andes no creen en Dios, from Bolivia, a drama set in a mining town in the Andes in the 1920s. The Royal Tour, from Ecuador, a series which shows the inside of each country in order to offer to viewers an access to extraordinary locations, historic landmarks, and cultural experiences. Lubaraun, from Nicaragua, a documentary which gives voice to people who have lived in resistance to colonialism, and now struggle to maintain their identity as well as their humanist and environmentally friendly way of living.
