Experts of Russian language to gather in Berlin for an annual event

From 19th November to 24th November 2018, the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin will be hosting annual Russian Language Week.

Within the framework of the event, leading experts from Russia and Germany will present their reports and presentations, as well as hold seminars on interdisciplinary project activities. The program of the event includes lectures, practical classes, round table discussions, visits to educational institutions and presentations by Russian and German publishing houses.

The event highlights the importance of promoting the Russian language abroad, especially in Germany, which according to unofficial sources is the home for 4 to 6 millions of Russian-speaking citizens.

Experts will be discussing the state of the Russian language within the Russian diaspora in Germany, special features of teaching Russian in German school, methods and concepts for bi-lingual education and teaching Russian as a foreign language and means of motivation for students.

In addition to that, the participants will learn about key processes and trends in developing Russian educational system and modern Russian culture, requirements for final exams at Russian schools and Russian language academic competitions knows as Olympiads.
Events of the Russian Language Week have been recognized as official courses for professional development which provides additional value to language teachers.
