World-wide Nelson Mandela´s Day was celebrated on 18 July, which was officially declared by the United Nations to commemorate the civil works of Mandela as a peace maker.

The day was as well acknowledged by the South African Embassy in Berlin. In remembrance of Mandela´s work, the embassy recalled the importance of this day. It is a day where everybody should “recognise their individual power to make an imprint” as transmitted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation as well.

The Embassy also encouraged everyone all over the world to spend 67 minutes of their day for social service. This number relates to the years that Nelson Mandela dedicated his life in the struggle against both apartheid and other injustices of various kind.

Now, it is up to the new generation to act according to his footprint and take it even further for our world to become a better place.
