Bollywood in Berlin

As part of ongoing cultural activities at the Indian Embassy in Berlin, the introduction of a film and food night seeks to offer a something different.

News from Berlin. With the backdrop of cultural exchange and a desire to show what India has to offer to the international crowd, the Indian Embassy of Berlin is combing two of India’s greatest exports; food and film.

The Embassy is keeping the title of the Bollywood film a secret in an effort to surprise the audience. It has revealed however that in addition to the free film screening, there will be an opportunity during the intermission for audience members to sate themselves with Indian samosas, as common in India as the Berlin bratwurst.

Bollywood cinema is indeed India’s version of Hollywood, combining Bombay and Hollyood ergo Bollywood.

The event takes place in the auditorium in the Indian Embassy, located at 17, Tiergarten Straße, 10785. There are 200 tickets for the evening, which begins at 18:00, and entrance is only guaranteed with a valid identity card or passport.
