Vetusta Morla at BI NUU club

News from Berlin - Vetusta Morla, icon for Spanish alternative rock music, is coming tomorrow to the German capital. This will be the first time that the Spanish group are on tour in Germany. The concert in Berlin will take place on October 14th at 8pm in the BI NUU club, next to the U-Bahn Schlesisches Tor in Kreuzberg.

Vetusta Morla was founded in the summer of 1998 and all the band members studied together at high school José Luis Sampedro of Tres Cantos Madrid.

The first members of Vestusta Morla were Juan Pedro Martín (vocals), David García "El Indio" (drums), Jorge Gonzalez (percussion), Alejandro Notary (bass) and Guillermo Galvan (guitar). Later, Juan Manuel Latorre joined the group as a guitar and keyboard player, Alejandro Notary left the group and the band was finally completed when Álvaro B. Baglietto was incorporated.

The group is called Vetusta Morla, taking the name from the old turtle juvenile novel “The Neverending Story”, by Michael Ende.

Nowadays, Vetusta Morla are one of the biggest live bands from Spain. Since 2009 they have been successfully touring abroad, in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and the United States. Their powerful performances and sold-out concerts have created a loyal fan base.

Vetusta Morla published its last album "La Deriva" this spring 2014.

Vetusta Morla wants to break into the German rock music scene. The tour in Germany is a great opportunity for the group to introduce Spanish cultural music to a new country. They have already had fantastic success in their home country as well as in South and Central America.
