The UCAMARCA Art Projekt will be inaugurated the 11th of June with a collective exhibition entitled 'Visions and legends in the Uckermark'. This year music is the central topic. On the 11th of June and on the 25th of June there will be four different concerts of Latin American music, taking place in a number of locations across the fantastic region of Uckermark.

The main objective of this initiative is to create a community atmosphere through art. The idea is to connect with those things that are "invisible to the eye but perceptible to our heart". The UCAMARCA Art Project 2016 will also approach, through music, the diversity of the human being. They will create a common place for understanding in this widely universal language, music. Music is not a bridge of words, but connect directly with us and allow us to communicate with our own poetic nature.

The initiative is leading the way in building bridges on economic, social and cultural levels. It provides a platform for sharing ideas, experiences and needs of students and academics. The network provides an opportunity for the members to share their knowledge. Therefore, it becomes a great source of information and opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economy, education, culture.

This year, the UCAMARCA Art Project 2016 will be part of the Latin American summer festical of Art, Culture and Nature in Uckermark. There will be an exhibition of the work of three different artists: Brigitte Martin (painter, illustrator and researcher); Martha Elias of Commer (Peruvian painter); and Luis Meneses (Peruvian painter and sculptor). There will be also a concert of Trío AlmAmerica and Los Embajadores del Sur on the 11th. On the 25th, the invited artist will be Eleonora Gotopo, a Venezuelan singer, and the Trío Melaza, who will play Cuban music. In addition, there will be a showcase of regional Peruvian cuisine.

The event will take place in the Design Garden Buchholz, in Gerswalde 8, and will start at 5pm.
