The Brazilian Embassy is glad of announcing the ninth edition of the “Festa Junina Berlin”, the largest German festival of Brazilian culture, music and gastronomy. On 10th of August it holds the one of the most traditional Brazilian folkloric festivals celebrating Saints Anthony, John, and Peter with lots of traditional food, drinks, music, and a theatrical dance, the so-called "Quadrilha".

During such cultural event, men will dress up as farm boys with large straw hats, and women wear pigtails, freckles, painted gap teeth and red-checkered dresses, all in a loving tribute to the origins of Brazilian regional music. To the rhythm of the drum, of Saints and Orixás, Festa Junina Berlin 2019 brings another year of fun, music, tradition and love for the community from Brazil.

All the Brazilian community is looking forward to making you know the colours, the sounds, the taste, and the soul of Brazil. What are you waiting for? Let’s join the beauty of a culture that between a folk dance and a typical plate aims to an international integration.
