News from Berlin - The Ambassador of Romania to Germany, H.E. Lazar Comanescu honoured Ms. Emilia Müller, the Minister for Labour, Social and Family Affairs and Integration for the Land of Bavaria, with the “Star of Romania” Order, Commander Rank. The award was conferred by the President of Romania as a token of appreciation for the active promotion of the political-economic relations between Romania and the land of Bavaria.

With this occasion, the stage of development of bilateral relations between Romania and Bavaria was analyzed and discussed, highlighting the excellent cooperation through political dialogue as well as on the economic level. The two parties have also focused on the importance of the economic dimension within bilateral relations, signifying the reciprocal interest for the further development of the partnership in this sector.

Emilia Müller is part of the Christian Social Union of Bavaria and former Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the Bavarian State Chancellery from November 2005 to October 2007 and from October 2008 to October 2013. She has also occupied the position of Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and technology for one year between October 2007 and 2008.
