Every Season of the Berlin Fashion Week, Berlin shows its innovative fashion side, presenting the latest trends and discussing current topics around FashionTech and Eco Design.
The Senate department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises has been supporting the fashion industry since 2007 with an annual budget of up to one million euros and a portfolio of comprehensive steps. Each year, at least eight fashion shows of labels from Berlin are financed. Since 2013 labels from Berlin show their collections at the Berlin Showroom – a platform initiated by the Senate Department of Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises to help designers distributing their collections in foreign countries as France (Paris) and USA (New York).
Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH has been responsible for location marketing around Berlin Fashion Week since 2007. Berlin Partner is developing the Key Visuals, which are used for outdoor advertising in the city, for advertisements in national and international magazines and newspapers, as well as all relevant social media channels, on behalf of the Senate Administration for Economy, Energy and Business.
From 3 to 6 July 2018, 3 designers from Thailand will be taking part in the Berlin Fashion Week with the support of the Thai Designer Academy, the Ministry of Industry and Kantana AG. Their self-designed clothing and textile products are avant-garde in the field of green and innovative fashion due to their traditional and particularly environmentally friendly manufacturing processes as well as their modern and functional designs. On this occasion, Ambassador Dr. Dhiravat Bhumichitr welcomed the designers and talked to you about further projects supporting even more fashion designers from Thailand in commercial and innovative exchanges with European partners.
