Tel Aviv Museum of Art Visits Berlin
Celebration of 50 years of friendship between Germany and Israel

Berliner Festspieleis is organizing an exhibition at the at Martin-Gropius-Bau Museum to mark the 50th anniversary of establishment German-Israeli relations. The exhibition will take place in Berlin from March 27th to June 21st.
Tel Aviv Museum of Art, one of Israel’s leading artistic and cultural institutions - which displays an impressive collection of local art, dating from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day - is sending around 70 masterpieces to Berlin and wider Europe for the first time.
This exhibition focuses on modern era and contemporary art from Israel and pays particular attention to relevant 20th century movements.
The visitors will have the opportunity see masterpieces by acclaimed artists including Alexander Archipenko, Max Beckmann, Marc Chagall, Edgar Degas, Erich Heckel, Alberto Giacometti, Wassily Kandinsky, Jackson Pollock, Ludwig Meidner, Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, Egon Schiele and Lesser Ury.
The exhibition is supported by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Science and Culture, and runs with the kind support of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in Berlin.
