News from Berlin - This week the V Guitar Festival in Berlin will begin. On November 7th, 8th and 9th, those interested in this infamous Spanish instrument will enjoy and experience the sweet sounds of guitar chords through a number of workshops, classes and concerts that are going to take place in different locations.

Events will begin on November 7th at 8pm, with the Uruguayan guitarist Alvaro Pierri, who will interpret some Spanish masters songs, such as Manuel de Falla, Joaquín Rodrigo and Albéniz. This festival, which is considered one of the most important exporters of Spanish music, is organized by Leo-Kestenberg-Musikschule and the International Guitar Academy Berlin and has the support of other institutions such as the Instituto Cervantes, where there will be a Carles Trepat concert, on Saturday 8th at 20 pm.

Mainly, all the activities will take place at three locations: Rathaus Charlottenburg (Otto-Suhr-Allee 100), Renaissance Theater Berlin (Knesebeckstraße (Ecke Hardenbergstraße) 100) and Instituto Cervantes Berlin (Rosenstr 18-19.)

In recent years there has been a considerable increase in popularity of Spanish guitar. We only have to look at German streets, where there are lots of guitar schools in which people can take classes.
