The African Network of Germany (TANG) was founded in 2013 with the aim of facilitating the engagement of diaspora Africans in the development of their countries of origin.

The Dortmund office of TANG, which formally opened for business on the 20th of July, is responsible for the whole of the North Rhine Westphalia and aims to implement projects to support its objectives, among which is the promotion of the integration of Africans in Germany.

The association is currently carrying out two major projects and among is them Gemeinsam für mehr Teilhabe (Together for more participation). This project is funded by the federal government and aims to help and assess over 100 refugees from Africa.
