“REEL Kanata VII - Canadian Indigenous Short Films”

A selection of recent short films made by indigenous filmmakers will be hosted by the Emassy of Canada

“REEL Kanata” is a selection of recent short films made by indigenous filmmakers from Canada. The Embassy of Canada in Berlin, will present this event for the seventh time, togheter with imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival.

This interesting initiative is presented by the Canadian Embassy and the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, which is the world’s largest event of its kind celebrating works by Indigenous media artists.

The event will include the screening of new and award-winning short films by Canadian Indigenous filmmakers. ImagineNATIVE. The five short films selected will explore important themes, such as resilience, empowerment and indomitability.

The first day of the event is February 12th, at 4:30 pm, and it will continue the day after from 2pm. The admission is free and open to everybody that will present a valid photo-ID at the door of the Canadian Embassy (Leipziger Platz 17, 10117 Berlin).
