The cultural department of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran plans an art event in calligraphy with Iranian master calligrapher Ahmad Mohammadpour.

In Europe, Persian and Arabic calligraphy have been scientifically studied and artistically appreciated for centuries. Scripts from the Middle East were not only treasured in Europe, but also in Iran where calligraphy has continuously been one of the most revered forms of art. The cultural department of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Berlin has teamed up with an Iranian master calligrapher to offer crash-courses in Persian calligraphy in Germany. The course is perfect for people with knowledge of the Arabic script, and is also suitable for beginners alike. Materials will be supplied for the course, and the best part is: you can keep your new art creation after the course!

The calligraphy course will be offered three times in Berlin:

  • Feb. 13th at 10:00am at the Berlin, Iran-Haus (Drakestraße 3, 12205 Berlin)
  • Feb. 14th at 7:00pm at the Korean Culture Institute (Leipziger Platz 3, 10117 Berlin)
  • Feb. 18th at 1:00pm at the Berlin, Iran-Haus (Drakestraße 3, 12205 Berlin)

Registration can be made via E-mail at info@irankultur.com
