Kuwait Embassy Financial Contribution to Restore Mosque in Germany

News from Berlin – On October 19th Kuwait’s Ambassador to Germany, Monther Bader Sulaiman Al-Eissa delivered his first financial contribution to the Al – Nour Islamic center for the restoration of a mosque in Hamburg.

The ceremony was held for this occasion and was attended by several Kuwaiti diplomats and the mosque’s Sheikh Sameer Al – Rajab. On this occasion, Ambassador Al – Essa expressed his hope that the center’s officials could finish the mosque’s restoration with this donation and help Muslims in Hamburg and other cities pray and perform their religious rituals properly in Germany.

Officials also discussed activities that will take place in the newly renovated center for German Muslims. There are going to be lectures, workshops as well as a social center for adults, teenagers and women. The 1,700 square meter mosque will also include two separate rooms for lectures and a female prayer room. German and Arabic will be taught in the center and sessions of Qur’an recitations and gatherings will take place in the holy month of Ramadan.

The Islamic Center Al – Nour, also known as Al – Nour Mosque was founded in 1993. The center is home to people from more than 30 nations around the world and it is this that determines the cosmopolitan character of the center. All the activities held at the center are either delivered in the German language or later translated into German.

Germany is home to an estimated 4.3 million Muslims, with close to 140 proper mosques with domes and minarets, evidencing that a good relationship between Islamic countries and Germany is indeed an important.
