Jazzfest Berlin

In early November Berlin becomes jazzy. For over 50 years, jazz musicians from Berlin and all over the world have come together to play at the Jazzfest, making the festival one of the oldest and most prestigious in Europe. Among its guests have been big names such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington. The Jazzfest Berlin is part of the Berliner Festspiele.

The varied programme of concerts is equally traditional and progressive and features smaller ensembles as well as big bands. Concerts are held at several venues such as Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Quasimodo, and A-Trane. The full program is available online from a couple of weeks before the festival starts.
