The Italian Street Food Festival aims to showcase the best Italian Street Food in Berlin: an opportunity to taste many delicious Italian specialties, all at one big event!

The first ever Italian Street Food Festival will take place on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th from 10 am to 10 pm. The event will be held in the amazing open air location Osthafen Berlin (Alt Stralau 1 - Friedrichshain), that for two days, will become the center of the Italian festival. More than 15 stands and food trucks will take part and aim to captivate everyone’s taste buds with the best selection of their Italian specialties.

In the exclusive location of Osthafen, just two steps away from Treptower Park S-Bahn station, you will have the opportunity to relax on the beach by the Spree and enjoy a DJ set, as well as different theater performances. You will have the opportunity to choose among famous street food specialities: fresh pasta, risotto, meatballs, panuozzi, focaccia, Neapolitan “cuoppi” and fried pizza. Roman specialties will also be available including supplì and “porchetta”, Sicilian specialties like arancini and panelle, as well as delicious craft ice cream, granita, bignè and other Italian sweets. In addition, real Neapolitan espresso will be available for purchase. The entry is for free: you just have to decide what you would like to order and enjoy the atmosphere of the “Belpaese”.

During the event you will also have the chance to participate in an Instagram photo contest by publishing a post on your profile and using the specific hashtag for the event (#italianstreetfoodfestival). The author of the picture who receives the most likes will win a 3-day stay in the B&B “L’Attico 261” in the beautiful city of Palermo.

The event is organized by the Berlin Italian Communication/Berlino Magazine, a reference point for Italians and all who are fond of Italy. Thanks to the great number of initiatives and events held during the year, true Italians who want to celebrate and spread the culture of “good eating”, from the creativity in recipes to the selection of high quality ingredients, is made possible.
