The exhibition officially opened on July 13th and it shows 54 masterpieces of the Galleria Barberini Corsini from Rome. It will be opened for the entire summer, until October 6th.

From the 13th of July to the 6th of October, the Museum Barberini in Potsdam is holding an exhibition of Baroque Pathways: The National Galleries Barberini Corsini in Rome. The exhibition is based on 54 masterpieces coming directly from the Barberini Corsini National Galleries. The masterpiece from the early period of Caravaggio, the Narcissus (1597-99) will be at the center of the exhibition.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Italian Embassy to Germany and by the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin. Among the initiatives that have been introduced to guide the visitors throughout the exhibition is an app, showing the different monuments in Potsdam, highlighting how they have been influenced by Italian architecture. Such exhibition, along with the museum hosting it, is a spectacular example of cultural diplomacy in Germany, as it promotes Italian culture and it shows how German art itself has been influenced by it.
