The event aims at sponsoring Italian regional music in Berlin, allowing Italians and Germans alike to appreciate Italian ethnical music while enjoying an evening at the Embassy

Rione Junno is an Italian, more specifically Apulian, folkloristic band, which has been performing all over Italy and across the world. Its musical career started in 2002, when it joined the Italian musical and cultural movement, founded by Eugenio Bennato, “Taranta Power” and it began collaborating with labels and started touring across Italy. Rione Junno’s music is to be inserted between the alternative and the contemporary waves of ethnical music, as it is embedded with tradition while looking towards the future.

The event, other than being organised by the Italian Embassy to Germany, in collaboration with ENIT - Italienische Zentrale für Tourismus, is also sponsored by the Italian craft beer company Lambrate. Entrance to the concert will be free of charge and it will last from 8pm to 10pm.

The concert will be an important opportunity to witness traditional Taranta music in Berlin, offering the exceptional opportunity to discover it to those who have never had the chance to do so, thus operating cultural diplomacy here in Berlin.
