News from Berlin - A German delegation, composed of German businessmen and women working for German renewable energies companies, is expected in Guatemala from May 27th to May 30th. Germany is worldly known to be a leader in green and renewable energies. The label “renewables – Made in Germany” stands for a guarantee of high-quality, innovation and efficiency. Indeed, Germany is one of the major leaders in photovoltaic and wind energies. The country plans to have a 100% renewable energy supply by 2050. With global warming and the general public concern about the environment, the sector of renewable energies is surely a prolific and promising one.

The arrival of German businessmen to Guatemala will provide the opportunity to offer local businesses a large sample of products and services related to renewable energies, from the designing projects to helping with the financial aspects.

A conference will also be held on May 28th in Guatemala City, at the Westin Camino Real Hotel, from 8:00 to 17:00. The theme will be “Decentralized Supply of Energy – Solar Energy and Photovoltaic, Wind Power and Bioenergy” and will be sponsored by the Federal German Minister of Economy and Energy, Sigmar Gabriel.
