News from Berlin - Both France and Germany are cooperating in order to increase the employment opportunities for French and German people. The first event, Connecti, will take place in Cologne on Friday 24th of November and the second one will take place in Paris in March 2015.

More than 60 entrepreneurs from all over Europe will gather at “La Journée d’Emploi Franco-Allemand” (the Day of Employ Franco-German) to meet face to face with prospective employees. More than 700 vacancies in France, Germany and other countries in Europe are available. The participants will therefore have the chance to fill these positions through interviews with representatives of SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) and other large groups.

The event targets those who speak French and German and potentially other European languages. Linguistic and intercultural skills are the most important skills for this event, which welcomes individuals from a range of backgrounds; commercial, technical and marketing, along with many more. The program not only offers permanent positions to executives, managers and other experienced individuals, but also offers internships and volunteer work.

Moreover, the participants will have the chance to attend different lectures and speeches, given by experts, on the Franco-German labor sphere. They will discuss how individuals can enhance their job applications, career contracts and salaries, and how volunteers should pursue the “Volontariat International en Entreprise” (VIE); a French program for volunteers.

According to the information provided on the Franco-German website for employment, 87 per cent of the people who have visited the previous Connecti events, have recommended it.
