Final Concert of “Zyprische Miniaturen”- A Charity Event Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus

News from Berlin – The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus ends the “zyprische Miniaturen” – a charity event presented in three parts - with a final concert called “Mediterranean Moods” on April 9th. The showing starts at 8 pm in Grüner Salon at the Volksbühne in Berlin, Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and attracts visitors with Cypriot musicians. Guitarist and winner of various international guitar competitions Dimitris Regginos will present Bach as well as pieces of Cypriot composers. His performance is followed by a musical cooperation of Vakia Stavrou, singing and playing the guitar and Marios Takoushis playing the piano. The Cypriot singer and composer will present both her own and internationally famous songs.

On February 27th, the charity event began with the concert ”Sound of South” with pianists Konstantinos Athanasakos and Savvas Savva as well as violinist Michalis Kouloumis. Part two of the event – held on March 23rd - consisted of two musicians, Stavros Lantsias playing the piano and Petros Klampanis playing the double bass.

Earnings are donated to “KINDerLEBEN”, an association supporting a hospital in Berlin for children suffering from cancer. This association focuses on improving the healing process of these children and helps to make life easier for them.
