The Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin will host an exhibition featuring photos from the ‘Fanø Dagbog’ exhibition from February 15th to the middle of April.

Fanø is a popular vacation island with the UNESCO protected Wadden Sea just off the west-coast of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. Fanø was an island of seafarers, which created world-wide contacts and wealth for the island, but also prompted that the men of the island spend long times away from their wives, meaning that the woman of the island had to take care of the homes.

This created the unique ‘Fanø suit’ that the Danish-German photo-journalist Ole Joern, alongside Kis Sharashuvana and Christel Seyfarth, both organizers of local festivals, captures in the exhibition at the Royal Danish embassy in Berlin. The exhibition open on the 14th of February at 19:00 and registration for the opening can be done here: https://berlin.easysignup.com/69/
