It is an international project, initiated by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies about Poland, which is part of the Viadrina European University in Frankfurt an der Oder, Germany, and the Collegium Polonicum in Slubice, Poland.
Though the project was originally just a Polish-German partnership, nowadays it has managed to gather a lot more partners and researchers from all over the world, including, inter alia, Japan, USA, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands. The online portal was created mainly for researchers who work on discovering Polish culture and try to enhance the communication on Polish studies.
