News From Berlin: The Indian embassy in Berlin habitually organizes movie screenings. On this time the selected movie is the famous romantic comedy “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”. The projection will take place on November 19th at 6pm at the headquarters of the Embassy in Berlin.

Following the previous successes of other prior film projections, the Indian Embassy in Germany is committed to the expansion of the Asian culture through films of the well known genre of Bollywood, characterized by traditional dances and songs. These projections are one of the most important junction bridge between European and Indian culture, and especially if we take into account the fact that this film genre is gaining more and more fans in Europe.

The plot of this romantic comedy launched in 2013, and it is about a love story between two old friends, Naina, a medical student and Aditi, her school mate. The film, full of moments where the music and traditional dance will not stop, will transport attendees to an atmosphere characterized by the comings and goings that every relationship has.

Attendees do not have to purchase tickets in order to go to the projection, which will take place in the assembly hall of the embassy (Tiergartenstrasse 17). To attend the event people must show an ID Card or passport at the Embassy´s entrance. It is not permitted to bring food or drink from outside vendors, and the venue can hold up to 200 people.
