Pavel Gaida is first of all, Don Cossack, from Rostov-on-Don. As it often happens - not a professional musician, but architect and designer. Pavel Gaida lives in Berlin since 1990’s. Pavel Gaida is well known in Germany and Russia, with his performances with ensembles “Rasputin” and “FUN”.

In recent years, he worked together with the group “Band Song” and “Airplane”. Pavel Gaida takes part in different creative meetings and festivals, such as “Grushinskiy” in Samara and “Russian accent” in Berlin, “Tollwood” in Munich, “Bardentreffen” in Nuremberg. Music critics determine the direction of his work like this: “Russian Chanson - a characteristic feature of the songs of Paul Gaida, which have and ethnic and classical elements, as well as jazz and rock.

Bard songs (medieval style of storytelling through song) of Pavel Gaida don’t have a social or geographical attachment, Gaida is not trying to cling to the past or to critically assess the present. These songs could have been written in Marseilles, and in Chita. They are songs about finding love, the meaning of life and the gentle touch of a hand. Pavel sings about what some may call platitudes, and others - the eternal themes. "Music - this is serious and forever!" – says Pavel.

On the opening of the Salon, came not only Russian people, but also German. This event was waited long time by lovers of bard and author's song. After club “Berloga” was closed, for several years Berliners had no place to enjoy bard music. Today, many people just have their memories how it was. The scene in nature, tents, campfires, communication - how much we miss it in our lives! Is bard music “dead”? Out of fashion? These are the questions Pavel asked himself and in the end decided to open a Salon where people can enjoy bard music and have nice atmosphere.

If you want to warm your soul, to spend time in a friendly atmosphere, go to the “GAIDA Salon”. Owner of this place invites everyone to celebrate together Russian Christmas on 7th of January. Salon is located at Alte Feuerwache, Marchlewskistrasse 6, 10243.
