Together with the Philippine Catholic Community and the Archdiocese of Berlin, the Philippine Embassy at Berlin celebrated the ‘’30th Jubilee Year of Philippine Community in Berlin.’’

For two days, Filipinos from all over Germany, as well as from neighboring countries, came to participate in the ‘’30th Jubilee Year of the Philippine Community’’ in Berlin. The two-day event that started on August 1st, featured Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, the Archbishop of Manila, as the guest of honor. The Embassy of Philippines in Berlin took part in the event, along with the Philippine Catholic Community and the Archdiocese of Berlin.

Debuting with the Cardinal’s talk at the Bernhard-Lichtenberg-Haus, the event continued with the celebration of the Holy Mass at St. Hedwig’s Cathedral in Berlin and with a Filipino Community dinner-gathering. The second day of the event was dedicated to celebrating mass at the Heilig Geist Pfarrkirche in Bayernallee.

The celebration symbolized yet another occasion for renewing the bond between the Filipino community and the German civil society. Therefore, the Embassy arranged for His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle to meet with representatives of the German Caritas Association and the German Catholic Bishops Organization for Development and Cooperation.
