Music, Visual Effects and Comedy; Brought to You by the Men in Blue
Blue Man Group bring their innovative performance to Berlin: music, colors and comedy.
News from Berlin. Blue Man Group is an art collective formed in 1987 by Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton. The nature of their shows cannot be categorized as they have created a type of performance that has never been done before. Their shows have been described as similar to “that time when you were little and one of your imaginary friends took your hand and led you into a world that looked like yours only brighter”. This might be something most people have not experienced, but it certainly evocates an experience of a life time, something beyond most people’s imagination. Expect the unexpected.
Blue Man Group’s shows feature its three members disguised in blue bold caps, musical performances, prerecorded music, comedy and lots of color. Their instrumental performances heavily feature drums along with pre-recorded popular music, such as film scores; all of this incorporated into a comedic set and a color show that will have you wide eyed and in fits of laughter.
Blue man group has achieved worldwide recognition and even had a residency in Las Vegas, as have world respected artists as Elton John, Carlos Santana and Bette Midler among many others. Testament to their celebrity statues is the presence of Blue Man costumes ever Halloween and reference to them in critically acclaimed television shows like Arrested Development.
They will be performing at Berlin’s Bluemax Theater all of this week (23rd-31st of January).
